Experienced Data Engineer – Cloud-Based Data Pipeline Development and Support

The Role
As a Data Engineer on our team, you'll play a critical role in the development and support of our cloud-based data pipelines. You'll work closely with our Choice Science, Client, and Innovation colleagues to design, build, and maintain the data pipelines that power our business. This will involve a range of activities, including:
- Gathering data requirements and designing data pipelines to meet business needs
- Developing and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines using SQL, Python, and other tools
- Creating and managing data sets, tables, and views to support business analytics and science models
- Delivering high-quality data sets to support business decisions and drive growth
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data pipeline development and support needs

What You'll Need
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and support
- Strong knowledge of Python and SQL, with experience using Snowflake and PostgreSQL
- Experience with Docker, GitLab, and other DevOps tools
- Strong understanding of data set design and architecture
- Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar
What Will Set You Apart
If you have experience working with huge datasets and large data technologies, ideally cloud-based, you'll be well-positioned to succeed in this role. Additionally, if you're proficient in cloud design and product contributions, ideally AWS, and have experience using Docker, GitLab, and other DevOps tools, you'll be a strong candidate.
