Experienced Full Stack Data Engineer – Cloud Data Analytics and Pipeline Development

About the Role:

As a seasoned Data Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in designing and operationalizing data pipelines that drive business insights and inform strategic decisions. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain scalable, efficient, and secure data architectures that meet the evolving needs of our organization. With a strong foundation in programming, SQL, and data storage, you'll be responsible for creating and optimizing data pipelines that integrate with various data sources, including cloud-based platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design and develop data pipelines that extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources, including cloud-based platforms

• Collaborate with data architects, data scientists, and business stakeholders to identify business requirements and develop data solutions that meet their needs
• Develop and maintain data models, data warehouses, and data lakes to support business intelligence and advanced analytics
• Work with DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure and tools
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs
• Develop and maintain documentation for data pipelines, data models, and data architecture
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure high-quality code
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions to business stakeholders

Essential Qualifications:

* 3+ years of experience designing and operationalizing data pipelines with large and complex datasets

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter and Informatica IICS
• 3+ years of experience working with cloud-based platforms, including ADLS, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and other big data technologies
• Strong understanding of data storage concepts, including data lakes, social data sets, NoSQL, and data warehousing
• High-level SQL skills and ability to write complex SQL queries against various data sources
• Experience working with different data sources, including SQL, Oracle database, flat files (csv, delimited), web APIs, and XML
• Strong understanding of data integration methods and tools, including ETL/ELT processes
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile development environment
• Flexibility to work on a rotational basis, including weekends, holidays, and after-hours shifts

Preferred Qualifications:

* BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

• Azure certifications
• Experience executing data integration strategies, including event/message-based integration (Kafka, Azure Event Hub)
• Experience with Git/Azure DevOps
• Experience conveying data solutions through agile software development processes
• Familiarity with the retail industry
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working with SAP integration tools, including SAP BusinessObjects
• Experience with UC4 Job Scheduler
