Experienced Crisis Specialist – 988 Chat/Text Crisis Support for arenaflex

We're seeking an experienced Crisis Specialist to join our 24/7/365 mental health crisis/suicide prevention focused team. As a remote position, you'll handle incoming chat/text messages through the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (NSPL), also known as 988. Your role will be to provide brief clinical screenings, risk assessments, and appropriate service linkage for individuals experiencing emotional distress.

Job Summary
As a Crisis Specialist, you'll be responsible for providing telephonic or chat clinical screenings and risk assessments, answering crisis contacts via the chat/text platform, and conducting follow-up calls for individuals deemed moderate to high risk for suicide. You'll also participate in ongoing supervision, training, and team meetings, and assist with administrative tasks as needed.
Responsibilities
* Provide telephonic or chat clinical screenings and risk assessments for individuals experiencing emotional distress
- Answer crisis contacts via the chat/text platform to assess for suicide, safety, and identify appropriate community resources
- Conduct follow-up calls for individuals deemed moderate to high risk for suicide
- Meet the ethical and clinical standards in compliance with all accreditation
- Actively participate in ongoing supervision, training, and team meetings
- Assist in administrative tasks as needed
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in behavioral science, Psychology, Social Work, or Certified Peer Recovery Specialist
- Six months to one year of related crisis experience
- Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in-person, and virtual methods
- Demonstrates high-level customer service skills and professional etiquette
- Knowledge and competency in providing service linkage and referrals for programs, services, and other community resources
- Knowledge of suicide assessments
- Skill in providing crisis intervention
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working in a crisis hotline or mental health setting
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and crisis intervention
- Certification in crisis intervention or suicide prevention
