About arenaflex's Client Systems Team
The Client Systems team at arenaflex is seeking an experienced Java Developer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will collaborate with our business leaders and other stakeholders to design, develop, and implement cutting-edge solutions. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and deliver high-quality results under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain complex Java-based applications, including backend systems, APIs, and microservices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop solutions that meet those needs
- Work with business leaders and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliverables
- Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable, and secure code
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure best practices are followed
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply that knowledge to improve arenaflex's products and services
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 2+ years of experience in Java development, with a focus on backend systems and APIs
- Strong understanding of Java programming language, including Java 8 and later versions
- Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate
- Knowledge of database design and data modeling, including relational and NoSQL databases
- Experience with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS or Azure
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, such as Jenkins or Docker
- Experience with containerization and orchestration, such as Kubernetes
- Familiarity with cloud-based services, such as AWS Lambda or Azure Functions
- Strong understanding of security principles and best practices
- Experience with testing frameworks and tools, such as JUnit or TestNG
Skills and Competencies
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong understanding of software development life cycles and methodologies
- Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
