Job Summary

As a Customer Service Associate at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience that sets us apart from the competition. You'll engage with customers, resolve issues, and answer questions to ensure a positive experience. You'll also model and share customer service best practices with your team members to maintain our high standards of service.

Key Responsibilities

* Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services

  • Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience
  • Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
  • Provide customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service
  • Recommend items for sale to customers and recommend trade-up and/or companion items
  • Register customer purchases on assigned cash register, collect cash, and distribute change as requested
  • Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed
  • Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records
  • Check in and price merchandise as required or as directed by store manager or communicated by the shift leader
  • Implement Company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss
  • Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco products)
  • Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise
  • Complete resets and revisions as directed
  • Assist with separation of food items (e.g., raw foods from pre-cooked) and product placement as specified by policies/procedures
  • Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print, and creative machine
  • Suggestively sell promotional photo products
  • Assume web pick-up responsibilities (monitors orders in Picture Care Plus, fills orders, and delivers orders to customers as they arrive at store)
  • Assist with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring a clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers
  • Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required

  • 1-2 years of customer service experience in a retail environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous experience in a retail environment, preferably in a customer-facing role

  • Knowledge of store systems and store equipment
  • Experience with digital passport photo service and promotional photo products
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Picture Care Plus
