Job Summary

As a Remote Healthcare Billing and Customer Service Representative, you'll work as an extended business office representative on behalf of our clients, providing exceptional customer service and support to patients and their families. You'll be responsible for explaining medical bills, answering questions, and resolving account balances, all while maintaining a high level of empathy and understanding. If you're passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and have a knack for problem-solving, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

* Using empathy and fantastic listening, verbal, and written communication skills to help patients and their families understand confusing and often unexpected medical bills

  • Providing outstanding customer service and collaborating with patients over the phone on affordable payment plans and taking payments by phone
  • Using your computer proficiency, organization, and attention to detail to accurately document all calls and follow-ups in our software systems throughout each day
  • Supporting your fellow team members with consistent attendance, excellent work ethic, and caring team focus
  • Continuously improving, with supportive coaching/feedback from your manager and team leads and ongoing training

Essential Qualifications:

* 1-2 years of experience in customer service, healthcare, or a related field

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with patients and families from diverse backgrounds
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve complex issues
  • Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to accurately document calls and follow-ups

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working in a healthcare or customer service environment

  • Familiarity with medical billing and insurance terminology
  • Certification in customer service or a related field (e.g., Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR))
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills (English and Spanish, or other languages)

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits:

* Competitive base annual pay ranging from $37,440 - $43,680, based on prior experience

  • Monthly performance bonuses ranging from $100-$400
