Job Responsibilities
As a Data Analyst on the Transportation Analytics crew, you will be responsible for:
- Data Analysis and Visualization: Work with large, messy, disparate datasets to perform ad-hoc analyses and provide essential business insights. Develop ETLs or strategies to centralize data from multiple locations and create impactful Tableau dashboards.
- Data Storytelling: Engage with team members and cross-functional groups to share relevant information and establish credibility. Analyze stakeholder needs and collaborate with Operations, Finance, and Product groups to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and latency.
- Automation and Scripting: Leverage scripting languages (Python preferred) to automate reporting tasks, such as metrics prioritization and outlier recognition.
- Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Document your approaches and share your expertise with colleagues. Mentor team members as you become a Subject Matter Expert.
Key Requirements
* Excellent SQL Skills: 2-4 years of experience with SQL, with the ability to govern data from multiple tables while maintaining data integrity.
- Tableau Expertise: 1-2 years of experience with Tableau, with a focus on user experience and creating impactful dashboards.
- Business Operations Fluency: Strong understanding of business operations, with a background in supply chain management and transportation experience.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate complex ideas effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
* Advanced SQL and Tableau Experience: 2-4 years of experience with SQL and Tableau, with a focus on data visualization and business insights.
- E-commerce Operations or Parcel Service Experience: Experience working in e-commerce operations or parcel service operations, with a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management.
- Scripting Language Experience: Experience with Python or other scripting languages, with a focus on automation and data manipulation.
- Data Manipulation Tools: Experience with data manipulation tools, such as Knime, Alteryx, R, Tableau Prep, etc.
