Experienced Ocean Product Development Specialist – International Freight Forwarding Industry

Job Summary:

As an Ocean Product Development Specialist, you'll play a critical role in supporting the growth of ocean volumes and enhancing the development of our ocean product. You'll work closely with our Managing Director of Ocean to execute strategies that drive business growth, maximize competitiveness, and improve service quality. Key Responsibilities:

* Support the growth of ocean volumes by developing and implementing strategies to increase volumes, maximize competitiveness, and enhance service quality

• Collaborate with the Managing Director of Ocean, Global Trade Lane Team, Sales, and Operations to communicate direction and deliverables
• Assist in implementing pricing programs and reviewing volume targets to ensure alignment with business objectives
• Develop and maintain relationships with carriers, customers, and internal stakeholders to promote the ocean product and drive business growth
• Conduct regular service reviews to ensure agreed-upon KPIs are being met or exceeded
• Gather, analyze, and report information regarding performance and competitive activity to inform business decisions
• Manage annual budget and control, monitor, and report results to achieve budget targets
• Work closely with Marketing to develop external and internal communications specific to the ocean product

Essential Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field (e.g., logistics, supply chain management, business administration)

• At least 8 years of experience in the international freight forwarding industry, including direct ocean experience
• Prior ocean carrier experience is a plus
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Business-oriented and remarkable business acumen
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office apps

Preferred Qualifications:

* Master's degree in a related field

• Advanced knowledge of ocean freight forwarding, including ocean contracts, rate negotiation, and routing analysis
• Experience working with global trade lanes and managing international logistics operations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects

Additional Information:

This position is open to Colorado residents only. The estimated salary range for this position is $57,836.00 - $131,686.00 per year, depending on specific skills, work location, years of experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
