Job Description
As a 2nd Shift Customer Service Representative, you'll play a critical role in managing and coordinating the docks used for incoming and outgoing shipments for our site. You'll work closely with our Shift Leads to ensure the efficient movement of pallets, other incoming products, and materials by forklift operators and other material handlers. Your responsibilities will include:
- Arranging administrative items for incoming and outgoing shipment contents and comparing with past history to ensure accuracy
- Preparing documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials
- Reporting administrative discrepancies and resolving issues in a timely manner
- Constant communication with carrier representatives to make arrangements and issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials
- Corresponding with customer representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, scheduling issues, and pickup dates and times
Qualifications and Education Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 or more years' experience in a warehouse setting
- Previous knowledge of Shipping and Receiving
- Excellent customer service skills
Preferred Skills and Experience
* 1-3 years of experience in a customer service or logistics role
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience with shipping and receiving software and systems
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
