Job Description
HII- Mission Technologies is looking for a Logistics SME that will be Part-Time and remote. The SME will provide specialized knowledge and expertise in logistics, or similar fields to ensure the successful execution of projects and strategic initiatives. Essential Job Responsibilities Provide subject matter expertise to support proposal development, ensuring logistics approaches, methodologies, and solutions meet customer requirements. Partner with capture, pricing, and proposal teams to develop logistics concepts of operations (CONOPS), staffing models, workflows, and technical volumes. Review requirements related to supply chain, warehousing, inventory, transportation, and distribution to ensure compliance and alignment with customer expectations. Craft clear, compelling technical narratives describing logistics capabilities, processes, technologies, and performance metrics. Advise on feasible, cost effective logistics solutions to strengthen win themes and differentiators. Support risk identification and mitigation strategy development for proposal submissions involving supply chain or transportation functions. Provide recommendations on leveraging systems and industry best practices in proposal responses. Engage on an as needed basis to answer technical questions, refine solution elements, and ensure the final product reflects sound logistics expertise. Functional Experience Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Supply Chain Management Inventory Optimization Distribution / Transportation Planning Readiness and Maintenance Management Forward Basing / Expeditionary Sustainment Facilities and infrastructure support integration Risk Management Transition planning Performance-Based Logistics / Performance-Based Services Data analytics for logistics decision-making Minimum Qualifications 8 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 6 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 12 years relevant progressive experience. Knowledge of end-to-end supply chain, inventory, transportation, and warehouse operations Ability to analyze logistics data, KPIs, and forecasts using Excel, ERP, WMS/TMS tools Strong problem-solving skills with experience resolving operational issues and improving processes Effective communication and collaboration with suppliers, carriers, warehouses, and internal teams Experience with ERP, TMS, WMS, and logistics technologies (RFID, barcoding, IoT) Understanding of regulatory requirements (DOT, customs, export rules) and safety standards Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, customer service mindset, and basic project management skills Experience with USINDOPACOM Clearance- Must be able to obtain and maintain a clearance Preferred Requirements HII is more than a job - it’s an opportunity to build a new future.
