Job Description
Responsibilities: Hire and develop technical personnel by conducting periodic 1:1 sessions and providing regular feedback, always focused on high performance Ensure that the team is always engaged and challenged to go beyond what is expected Understands the teams products at a deep-level, and support the team members to also have a reasonable knowledge of the products the squad owns Delegate work and assignment to team members Collaborating with their team to identify and fix technical problems Analyzing users needs and then finding applications to serve them Foster a healthy culture within the team in line with the company culture Conduct risk analysis to identify areas of improvement Guide the team through technical issues and challenges Guarantee their teamwork follows high-standards development processes, including PR reviews, code quality, test coverage, robustness, resilience, performance, security and responsiveness Manage the teams on-call, ensuring the quality of incident handling and offering a great experience for the client Have an assertive decision-making in adverse environments (short time, pressure from customers, various restrictions) Whenever necessary, direct contact with the international team and clients Monitoring team services and new features on production environment, always seeking to achieve our SLOs / SLAs This is a remote position. A remote position does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a Visa office location. Remote positions may be required to be present at a Visa office with scheduled notice.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience. 7+ years of experience in software development as a software engineer. Proficiency in English at B2 level (Advanced). Ability to work independently in a remote, multicultural team environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Proven leadership experience in people and project management. Strong background in Agile methodologies and production support. Experience developing secure, scalable corporate web applications. Experience with development of corporate web applications Familiarity with cloud-native infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure), CI/CD, observability, and system architecture.
