By focusing Shape the future of the internet As a Solutions Engineer, you will sit at the heart of the sales process. You will build relationships, becoming a trusted advisor to our customers and deliver innovative solutions. You will get to work with all the technologies Akamai has to offer. As a Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for: Growing revenue and acquire new business by evangelizing Akamai's technology to existing and prospective customers. Managing the technical proposal process and ensuring all technical information and recommendations addressing customer requirements are accurate. Engaging with customers during the sales-cycle to gather requirements and develop proposals, design, delivery, demo's and proof-of-concepts. Collaborating with internal Stakeholders to strengthen customer relationships by becoming the go-to person for technical queries. Do what you love To be successful in this role you will: Have experience in a technical pre-sales/sales engineering, consulting, or customer facing role delivering technical products or services. Demonstrate knowledge in Cloud and Internet technologies, including security solutions, compute, content delivery and web architecture (DNS,HTTP,TCP/IP,TLS). Have interpersonal savvy, a passion to solve problems, and a customer focused mindset. Have a thirst for learning and embracing new technologies. Have a proven track record designing internet security solutions in public and hybrid cloud environments. Be a good team player, able to collaborate, prioritize, and solve problems in a fast changing environment.
