Senior Business Analyst
Ciklum is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our team full-time in Ukraine. About the role: As a Senior Business Analyst, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. The Business Analyst is a critical thinker with a keen eye for detail. Actively consulting with stakeholders to investigate and define a shared understanding of the business needs. Working within a fast-paced agile environment, the Business Analyst supports a backend team combining strong analytical skills with a sound technical foundation to drive clarity, alignment and value in the delivery of backend solutions. Responsibilities: As a Business Analyst, you will be part of a backend-focused agile team, you will play a pivotal role in defining and communicating technical requirements that guide the development and evolution of our APIs, services, data flows, and systems integrations. You will collaborate with product owners, developers, architects, and other stakeholders to capture complex backend requirements that support robust digital platforms and services Requirements: Clear grasp of systems integration patterns, message flows, and dependency management across distributed architectures Awareness of how backend changes support or affect front-end behavior, omnichannel features, and user experience Strong understanding of APIs, including consumption patterns, endpoint structure, and lifecycle management Hands-on experience reviewing and working with RESTful OpenAPI Specification (Swagger) and GraphQL Specification Familiarity with RFC 7807 (error-handling requirements), JSON Patch, OAuth, and general API security best practices (e.g., OWASP Top 10) Ability to define data mappings and transformations across systems, including understanding of omnichannel data strategies Competent in analyzing JSON payloads, testing endpoints using tools like Postman or Swagger UI, and validating expected vs. actual responses What`s in it for you?
