Our Risk Finance team is responsible for planning, forecasting, and evaluating global Loss Provision and Credit Reserves, as well as providing credit-related decision support to Risk Management, local Finance, and business groups.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Director of Data Science to lead our Global Data Strategy group within Risk Finance. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing centralized reporting capabilities, process enhancements, and automation to drive data-driven decision making across the organization. Your expertise will help us build a strong foundation for data analytics, enabling us to make informed decisions and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
As a Director of Data Science, you will be responsible for:
- Leading the strategic evaluation of arenaflex credit metrics, credit provision, and reserve for Senior Management in Risk and Finance
- Owning precise information assets/packages within Risk Finance, and becoming a subject matter expert on the applicable tools (troubleshooting issues, reconciling results, identifying enhancements and automation possibilities, and teaching other customers to drive adoption)
- Developing and maintaining preferred and ad-hoc reports used by Risk Finance and/or business partners; providing credit-related analytical support
- Developing and presenting key analyses and recommendations to Senior Management
- Building and maintaining relationships across Risk Finance portfolio groups and with partners in Risk, Controllership, Tech, etc.
- Providing decision-support with a strong emphasis on developing analytics that identify trends and opportunities in the portfolio which can be used to optimize Business and Risk decisions
Required Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Advanced experience working with a combination of the following: SQL/Hive, Power BI/Tableau, Python/R, VBA, TM1
- Experience working with a sophisticated level of Excel and PowerPoint required
- Experience in ML modeling is a plus
- Solid economic and analytical skills; ability to work with large datasets and draw significant conclusions, empowering our business partners to make smart, data-driven decisions
- Superior attention to detail, alongside exemplary organizational and problem-solving skills
- Must be results-driven and proactive with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work within tight timelines
- Desire to work on ambiguous tasks, developing clarity while achieving successful and significant outcomes
- A strong work-ethic and strong interpersonal skills, showcasing the ability to build and maintain relationships and successfully collaborate with team members to achieve goals
- Master's degree in advanced mathematics or statistical discipline required

Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated salary range for this position is $55.00 to $85.00 hourly, plus bonus, equity (if relevant), and benefits. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
