Experienced Customer Service Representative – Remote Payments and Digital Strategy Team

As an Experienced Customer Service Representative, you'll be an integral part of our Payments and Digital Strategy team, responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to our members. You'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks, including:
- Completing data access and balancing tasks
- Coordinating return items with vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions
- Assisting other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and related Accounting standard ledger balancing
- Working member cases/assignments
- Following and maintaining guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines and Federal Banking laws
- Processing mortgage payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other transactions, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff transactions
- Reviewing, examining, and approving Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products
- Logging, reviewing, and making necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns
- Processing Stop Pays and Check Batching
- Completing daily balancing and department closing
- Obtaining information from members for the timely and accurate processing of international and domestic wire transfer requests
- Researching and verifying incoming and outgoing wire transfer information
- Communicating with vendors to process wire transfers
- Understanding and being familiar with outgoing and incoming wire transfer laws
- Depositing check returns, reviewing member check returns on draft changes, processing member checks, verifying members for outgoing wire transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing wire transfers
- Completing daily processing of workflows associated with overdue returns, supply of receipts, international collections, and legal fees
What You'll Need for Success
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A high school degree or GED
- Intermediate Excel and Word experience
- Previous customer/member service experience
- Previous banking or Credit Union experience
- Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience
- Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) gained through both work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the software
- Ability to work prolonged hours in aid of business needs
- Ability to exercise excellent customer service skills
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple responsibilities, and function as an integral part of a team
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations and review data
- Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet time limits under high volume pressure
- Ability to cross-train and perform any position assigned within the department
- Ability to interact professionally with all personnel and members
- Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
- Ability to self-motivate with robust employer skills and ability for interest to detail
- Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet time limits
- Ability to maintain excellent performance and attendance
- Must pass relevant arenaflex and Credit Union pre-employment compliance exams
