Job Summary

As an Experienced Category Manager – Technology Supply Chain Management, you'll be responsible for managing a portfolio of technology suppliers that support our Air Operations groups, including Flight Operations, Network Operations Control, and Inflight Operations. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure suppliers meet business objectives, maximize supplier value, and mitigate risk. Your expertise will be instrumental in leading strategic sourcing events, negotiations, and contract drafting, as well as mentoring junior team members in this space.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage a portfolio of technology suppliers that support Air Operations groups, including Flight Operations, Network Operations Control, and Inflight Operations

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure suppliers meet business objectives and maximize supplier value
  • Lead strategic sourcing events, negotiations, and contract drafting to mitigate risk and drive business growth
  • Serve as a consultant on Air Operations Technology spend and supplier-related issues
  • Mentor junior team members in this space to develop their skills and expertise
  • Analyze market trends and supplier performance to inform sourcing decisions and drive business outcomes
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure seamless collaboration and communication
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to drive efficiency and effectiveness

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in category management, procurement, or a related field
  • Proven track record of success in managing complex supplier relationships and driving business growth through strategic sourcing
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and practices
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive business outcomes

Preferred Qualifications

* Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field

  • Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CLTD) or a related field
  • Experience working in the airline industry or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of technology supply chain management and Air Operations technology spend
  • Experience with contract management and negotiation
  • Familiarity with industry trends and best practices in supply chain management
