Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Customer Service/Quote Representative to join our team in The Woodlands. This role will report to our Customer Service Manager and will require a quick learner of our vendors and products. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of Excel, ERP experience, and excellent customer service skills. Key Responsibilities
As a Customer Service/Quote Representative, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of customer service, including:
- Entering customer orders into the Global Shop ERP system
- Updating and allocating inventory
- Following up with customers on orders and quotes for lead times and price changes
- Managing the production of quotes, including outlining, content, required forms, deadlines, and coordination with key internal personnel
- Coordinating with salesmen and Costa Rica staff to ensure inventory levels are kept at optimum levels
- Anticipating customers' future needs and reviewing RFQs to understand their intent, requirements, details, timing, and scope
- Establishing timing plans to accomplish SOWs and performing risk analysis of projects as required
- Managing and coordinating incoming requests for proposals, prioritizing and scheduling team members to meet customer requirements
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or GED
- Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while paying close attention to details
- Ability to interact with all levels of management while maintaining a positive, professional, and enthusiastic attitude
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to function in a team-oriented environment
- Proficient with MS Word and PowerPoint, and utilize Excel at an advanced level
- Work well in a fast-paced, time-sensitive, and deadline-oriented environment
- Project Management training and experience is a plus
- Capable of calculating shipments with associated costs and delivery schedules, including shipment sizing
