Experienced Data Entry Specialist – Sports Information and Data Analysis

The Role
As a Data Entry Specialist, you'll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of sports information across our various platforms, including ESPN.com, television broadcasts, and mobile apps. You'll work closely with our editorial team to gather and verify data, and use your analytical skills to identify trends and patterns in the data. You'll also be responsible for creating and maintaining databases, spreadsheets, and other data management tools to support our editorial operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of sports information across all arenaflex platforms
- Gather and verify data from various sources, including sports leagues, teams, and players
- Use analytical skills to identify trends and patterns in the data and provide insights to the editorial team
- Create and maintain databases, spreadsheets, and other data management tools to support editorial operations
- Work closely with the editorial team to gather and verify data, and to create engaging stories and features
- Collaborate with other teams, including production, design, and engineering, to ensure seamless integration of data and content
- Participate in regular meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on company policies and procedures
Essential Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. sports management, journalism, data analysis) preferred
- 1+ years of experience in data entry, data analysis, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new systems and technologies
Preferred Qualifications
* 1+ years of experience in sports or data analysis, preferably in a media or entertainment company
- Knowledge of sports information and data analysis, including metrics and statistics
- Experience with data management tools, such as Microsoft Excel and SQL
- Experience with web-based platforms and social media
- Ability to speak and write Spanish
- Experience leading or training a team
