Job Summary
As a Quality Control Data Analyst intern, you'll play a critical role in driving a culture of safety, efficiency, and innovation within our Quality Control division. You'll work closely with our team to identify trends and performance metrics, analyze data, and develop actionable insights to improve our quality control processes. Your contributions will help us achieve our organizational goals, including maintaining low costs, modernizing our operations, and enhancing compliance.
Responsibilities and Expectations
As a Quality Control Data Analyst intern, your responsibilities will include:
- Performing and assisting others in the Quality Control team in ideal data collection, validation, and analysis on data components
- Helping to create and present results from complex data and analysis for both technical and non-technical clients and leaders
- Assisting in exploring ad-hoc requests arising from emerging maintenance issues and providing logical answers to enable Senior Leaders to make business decisions while adjusting existing project responsibilities
- Presenting findings, trends, and potential recommendations using data visualization tools to facilitate partner understanding
- Helping to develop and disseminate specific queries to pull and coordinate data from various sources, establishing the rhythm, and approving the need of the data requirements
- Identifying irregularities in processes through reviews/audits and conveying findings to the team
- Assessing the effectiveness of processes and methods by observing for patterns and errors
- Ensuring that a compliance mindset is at the forefront of every decision
- Performing other work duties as directed by Group Leader
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A strong ability to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret large amounts of data with precision and accuracy
- The capacity to effectively listen, understand, and communicate ideas and present them in writing, verbally, or through presentations to diverse audiences
- The ability to evaluate business issues, identify valuable opportunities for data needs, and interpret resulting metrics
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and capabilities, such as Tableau, Alteryx, and QuickBase (desired)
- The ability to grasp the issue, summarize, and perform root cause analysis on data, and provide recommendations using logic and reasoning
- The ability to work independently in a team-oriented, help/group-focused environment
- The ability to focus on responsibilities independently and be a self-motivated individual
- Past internship, capstone project, or research experience (desired)
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- The ability to manage sensitive and confidential information appropriately
- The ability to plan and support large business initiatives
