Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Associate, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Gathering, organizing, and preparing source documents for data entry into our system database.
  • Reviewing data for discrepancies, missing pages, or information and resolving discrepancies using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution.
  • Entering both alphabetic and numeric data from source documents into the proper system database.
  • Reviewing data entered against the original source documents for accuracy and correcting any data entry errors or duplications.
  • Following data program security practices and procedures at all times.
  • Routinely securing information by completing database backup daily.
  • Performing other various clerical duties such as sorting, filing, emailing, and proofreading as required.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of all personal and financial information at all times and in accordance with HIPPA regulations.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Key Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 6 months related experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Experience in a medical office is preferred but not required.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in data entry software and systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
