As a member of the Payments and Digital Strategy team at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for a wide range of tasks related to check processing, object processing, direct deposits, and budget transfers. You'll work closely with our team to ensure that our members receive the best possible service, while also staying up-to-date with the latest industry regulations and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
* Complete daily tasks related to check processing, object processing, direct deposits, and budget transfers
- Coordinate with vendors, the Federal Reserve, and other institutions to resolve issues and ensure smooth processing
- Assist other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and accounting standard ledger balancing
- Work member cases and sports assigned, following established guidelines and procedures
- Process mortgage bills, multi-account and member deposits, credit card bills, and other exams, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff exams
- Review, examine, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products
- Log, review, and make necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns
- Process Stop Pays and Check Batching
- Complete daily balancing and department closing
- Obtain information from members for the timely and correct processing of international and domestic budget transfer requests
- Research and verify incoming and outgoing budget transfer information
- Communicate with vendors to process budget transfers
- Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming budget transfer regulations
- Deposit check returns, review member draft changes, process member exams, verify members for outgoing budget transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing budget transfers
- Complete daily processing of workflows associated with overdue returns, supply of receipts, international collections, and legal fees
What You'll Need for Success
* High school degree or GED
- Intermediate Excel and Word experience
- Previous customer/member service experience
- Previous banking or Credit Union experience
- Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience
- Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) through work experience or education and hands-on use of the software
- Ability to work prolonged hours in support of business needs
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple responsibilities, and function as an integral part of a team
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations and review data
- Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines under high volume pressure
- Ability to cross-train and perform any position assigned within the department
- Ability to interact professionally with all personnel and members
- Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
- Ability to self-motivate with strong employer skills and ability for attention to detail
- Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain excellent performance and attendance
- Must pass relevant arenaflex and Credit Union pre-employment compliance exams
