Job Responsibilities

As an Experienced IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing technical support to customers via phone, email, chat, and in-person
  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues related to network and desktop infrastructure
  • Conducting site visits to investigate issues and install or upgrade equipment and software as needed
  • Collaborating with internal teams to resolve technical issues and improve system performance
  • Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and technical issues
  • Participating in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 technical support
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends

Key Responsibilities:

* Answers client support requests and determines the technical support issue (i.e., software or hardware related) and maintains trust in TSG

  • Speaks with clients by telephone to discuss recognized issues or concerns and resolve the issues (e.g., equipment or software glitch, client error, etc.)
  • Investigates recognized issues by gathering clarification on some things, assessing web information sites, or potentially internal site to identify solutions and work with resolution
  • Conducts site visits within the region to investigate issue and additionally install or upgrade equipment and software in the event that technical support issue cannot be resolved remotely
  • Conducts follow-up with clients to check issues were resolved completely
  • Completes service orders to avoid functional delays in resolving issues

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

  • 2+ years of experience in IT support, network administration, or desktop infrastructure
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems (client/server)
  • Experience with Cisco VPN, Citrix, Phantom, Symantec, Desktop Applications, Dynamic Registry, and other Internet browsers
  • Specialized certifications such as A+, Network+, or MCP
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with Linux operating systems

  • Knowledge of cloud computing and virtualization technologies
  • Experience with IT service management tools and frameworks
  • Strong understanding of network security and data protection
  • Experience with project management and coordination
