Job Description

This is a remote position. 1. Lesson Planning and Delivery:

  • Design and deliver engaging, interactive, student-centered psychology lessons aligning with the curriculum and learning objectives.
  • Utilize various teaching methods, including discussions, multimedia presentations and practical applications to enhance students' understanding of psychological concepts.

2. Student Assessment and Feedback:

  • Assess and evaluate students' progress through assignments, quizzes and examinations, providing constructive feedback to guide their learning journey.
  • Adapt assessments to suit diverse learning styles and ensure fair evaluation of all students.

3. Student Support and Communication:

  • Maintain regular communication with students to support their learning needs, address questions and offer academic assistance as needed.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive virtual classroom environment that encourages active participation and critical thinking.

4. Curriculum and Content Development:

  • Stay updated with the latest developments in psychology and incorporate current research and practices into the curriculum.
  • Develop and enhance educational content, ensuring it is relevant, engaging and aligned with learning objectives.

5. Collaboration and Professional Development:

  • Collaborate with other educators and staff members to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to improve teaching skills continuously and stay informed about advancements in remote education.

6. Classroom Management and Technology Use:

  • Use online platforms and tools effectively to manage course content, track student progress and facilitate virtual class interactions.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and ensure accessibility for all students.

Requirements

  • Educational Qualification: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Psychology or a related field. A Master's degree or higher in Psychology is preferred.
  • Teaching Certification: Teaching certification or license in psychology or a related subject is desirable.
  • Experience: Proven experience teaching psychology at the high school, college or online level. Experience in remote or online teaching is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using online teaching platforms like Zoom, Google Classroom or other learning management systems.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex psychological concepts in an understandable manner.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, building rapport with students and creating a supportive online learning environment.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks, deadlines and student needs in a remote setting.
  • Commitment to Education: A passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a positive, engaging and inclusive learning experience for all students.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility and adaptability to work with diverse student populations and adjust teaching methods to meet the needs of individual learners.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with technology and eager to learn and integrate new tools and resources into the online classroom.
