Job Summary:
We're looking for a highly skilled and compassionate Crisis Intervention Specialist to join our 24/7/365 mental health crisis/suicide prevention focused team. As a remote employee, you'll be working on the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (NSPL), also known as 988, providing brief clinical screenings, risk assessments, and appropriate service linkage for individuals experiencing emotional distress. This role requires a bachelor's degree in behavioral science, psychology, social work, or a related field, or a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist certification.
Responsibilities:
As a Crisis Intervention Specialist, you'll be responsible for:
- Providing telephonic or chat clinical screenings and risk assessments to assess for suicide, safety, and identify appropriate community resources to best meet individual needs.
- Answering crisis contacts via the chat/text platform to assess for suicide, safety, and identify appropriate community resources to best meet individual needs.
- Conducting follow-up calls for individuals who are deemed moderate to high risk for suicide.
- Meeting the ethical and clinical standards in compliance with all accreditation.
- Actively participating in ongoing supervision, training, and team meetings.
- Assisting in administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A bachelor's degree in behavioral science, psychology, social work, or a related field, or a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist certification.
- Six months to one year of related crisis experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High-level customer service skills and professional etiquette.
- Knowledge and competency in providing service linkage and referrals for programs, services, and other community resources.
- Knowledge of suicide assessments and crisis intervention.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.

Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $19.10-$26.80 per hour, depending on experience.
