Experienced Healthcare Customer Service Senior Outreach Specialist – Remote Opportunity

Role Overview
As a Senior Outreach Specialist at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in helping hospitals and health plans improve their revenue and deliver community benefits. You'll work with patients and plan members who are low-income, aged, or disabled, to enroll them in government-funded assistance programs. Your primary responsibility will be to screen health plan members to determine their eligibility for Social Security benefits and/or supplemental Nutritional Assistance for families in need. You'll use a similar system tool as Social Security to gather personal and sensitive information, and then provide high-level customer service and support to those who meet specific criteria.
Key Responsibilities
* Make outbound and receive inbound calls with the intent of promoting company services (90% phone-based)
- Interview patients/members via phone to gather personal/sensitive information to determine eligibility for various government programs
- Utilize arenaflex's systems to ensure appropriate questions are asked
- Interpret and explain information such as eligibility requirements and application details
- Use probing questions to clarify eligibility data with patients or members
- Compile, record, and evaluate personal and financial data to determine eligibility
- Understand and agree to role-specific information security access and responsibilities
- Ensure safety and confidentiality of data and systems by adhering to arenaflex's information security policies
- Read, understand, and agree to security policies and complete all annual security and compliance training
Requirements
* 2 years of experience in a customer service/call center environment
- Ability to place and receive calls via computer interface
- Excellent phone skills
- Strong data entry skills
- Excellent critical thinking skills
- Ability to manage difficult people
- Ability to be assertive
- Ability to actively listen and show compassion
- Experience working remotely
- Private, quiet office/working space
- Associate's Degree preferred
