Job Summary
As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the primary customer interface for inquiries, handling incoming phone calls, and providing expert guidance to help our members navigate the challenging world of insurance. You will be responsible for:
- Interfacing with customers via telephone, written correspondence, fax, web, and/or electronic mail
- Researching customer information utilizing appropriate systems, policies, regulations, procedures, and other reference materials to effectively respond to and resolve customer issues
- Elevating sensitive customer requests when necessary
- Complying with State and Federal regulations and mandates, which are continually changing, thus creating a very dynamic environment
- Remaining current on knowledge of diverse products and proactively recommending items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability
Key Responsibilities
* Provide exceptional customer service via phone, email, and other communication channels
- Research and resolve customer issues in a timely and professional manner
- Stay up-to-date on policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and provide accurate information to customers
- Proactively recommend products and services to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex customer issues and improve overall customer experience
Essential Qualifications
* High School Diploma or Equivalent and three years of experience in a complaint-type customer service office setting (health insurance or related field preferred)
- Availability for training 9-12 weeks in length
- Reliable internet service provider and a dedicated, distraction-free workspace
Preferred Qualifications
* Basic medical/dental terminology and contract interpretation
- Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
What We Offer
* Competitive salary: $39,520 annually
- Comprehensive benefits package, including health benefits effective the 1st of the month following start date
- Full-time (40 hours per week) position with opportunities for career growth and advancement
- 9-12 weeks of live virtual training, Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm (Central Time Zone)
- Flexible work schedule after training, with the ability to work any 8.5 hour shift between 7:30am-6:00pm (Central Time Zone), Monday to Friday
