Responsibilities:
As a Patient Account Representative II – Call Center/Customer Service, you will be responsible for:
- Making and answering phone calls to and from hospital and physician group customers, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
- Maintaining high levels of productivity and quality while managing tasks to meet deadlines and resolve analytic report issues efficiently.
- Utilizing identified resources, such as payor websites, provider service lines, analytics, and correspondence, to accomplish analytic report follow-up.
- Participating in A/R clean-up projects and other initiatives to improve patient satisfaction and revenue cycle efficiency.
- Taking ownership of assignments and other duties as assigned or requested, demonstrating initiative and leadership qualities.
- Communicating and listening effectively with internal and external customers, sharing knowledge and understanding instructions.
- Cooperating and interacting with supervisors, peers, other departments, and all customer groups, embodying our commitment to exceptional service.
- Providing training to new or existing staff as directed by leadership, when necessary.
- Identifying ways to reduce calls or wait times, increasing customer satisfaction and improving overall patient experience.
- Demonstrating leadership qualities and initiative amongst peers and coworkers.
Education and Experience:
* High School Diploma or GED Equivalent (required)
- One or more of the following systems or applications: Epic, SSI, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word (preferred)
- 1-2 years previous customer service experience (preferred)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- General Accounting and bookkeeping skills
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of medical billing and medical terminology
- Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
