Responsibilities

As a Remote Live Chat Agent, you'll be responsible for:

  • Responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally via phone, email, chat, or social media
  • Providing accurate product/service information and troubleshooting assistance to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Utilizing software and tools to track customer interactions and resolve issues efficiently
  • Collaborating with internal teams to resolve complex customer issues and provide seamless support
  • Meeting or exceeding customer satisfaction and productivity targets, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and courtesy
  • Staying up-to-date on products/services and industry trends to provide informed support and recommendations
  • Participating in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • 0-2 years of customer service experience (or equivalent experience in a related field)
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment
  • Reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and customer relationship management (CRM) software
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and maintain a high level of productivity

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will make you an even stronger candidate:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, or a related field
  • Previous remote work experience, with a proven track record of success in a customer-facing role
  • Certification in customer service or a related field (e.g., CCNA, CSP)
  • Familiarity with helpdesk software and CRM systems, with experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex issues

Technical Requirements

To ensure a seamless and efficient work experience, you'll need:

  • A computer with an up-to-date operating system and software
  • A high-speed internet connection (25 Mbps+)
  • A noise-cancelling headset and webcam for video conferencing and chat support
  • A smart phone or tablet (optional) for remote work and communication

Work Schedule

As a Remote Live Chat Agent, you'll enjoy flexible scheduling, with the option to work part-time or full-time. You'll be required to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to ensure 24/7 customer support.

Compensation and Benefits
