Job Description:
As a Lead Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data-driven solutions that meet the needs of our business stakeholders. Your expertise in big data, cloud computing, and data warehousing will enable you to create innovative data arrangements that provide valuable insights into our operations, client behavior, and market trends.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with our Information Item Chiefs, Information Modelers, and Information Architects to design, implement, and deliver successful data arrangements
- Plan and develop versatile data warehousing solutions, building ETL pipelines in big data environments (cloud, on-prem, hybrid)
- Help engineer data arrangements/structures and define data models for the core data warehouse and data shops
- Work with our team to ensure high functional productivity and quality of solutions to meet SLAs and support our commitment to our clients (Information Science, Information Examination groups)
- Maintain detailed documentation of your work and changes to support data quality and data governance
- Ensure compliance with arenaflex's data governance policies and procedures
- Participate in agile/scrum practices to ensure team well-being and cycle enhancements
Essential Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Strong SQL skills and ability to write queries to extract data and build performant datasets
- Experience with distributed systems like Hadoop (HDFS, Hive, Voila, PySpark) to query and process data
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java/Scala
- Experience with at least one major MPP or cloud database technology (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
- Strong involvement in data integration toolsets (i.e. Wind current) and writing and maintaining data pipelines
- Familiarity with data modeling strategies and data warehousing standard practices and procedures
- Experience with agile/scrum approaches
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with cloud advances like AWS (S3, EMR, EC2)
- Strong involvement in data governance and data quality initiatives
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and technologies
- Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
