Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team in Phoenix, USA. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data systems that support our business operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements, design and implement data solutions, and ensure the scalability, security, and performance of our data systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop large-scale data systems that support our business operations, including data warehousing, data lakes, and data pipelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and design data solutions that meet those needs
- Develop and maintain data models, data dictionaries, and data governance policies to ensure data quality and consistency
- Ensure the scalability, security, and performance of our data systems, including data storage, data processing, and data analytics
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and data integration tools to support data exchange between systems
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to develop and maintain data visualizations and data analytics tools
- Participate in agile development methodologies and collaborate with development teams to design and develop software applications
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and provide training and support to other teams as needed
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies and recommend new technologies and approaches to improve our data systems
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, or related field
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or C++
- Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and data lakes
- Experience with data integration tools such as Apache NiFi, Apache Beam, or AWS Glue
- Experience with data analytics tools such as Apache Spark, Apache Flink, or AWS Redshift
- Experience with cloud-based platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Strong understanding of data security, data governance, and data quality principles
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, or related field
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Flink
- Experience with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, MongoDB, or Redis
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS Lake Formation or Google Cloud Data Fusion
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js
- Experience with agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
- Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Docker, or Kubernetes
