Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Quality Control Data Analyst Intern to join our Quality Control Standards team at arenaflex. As a Quality Control Data Analyst Intern, you will play a critical role in driving a culture of safety, efficiency, and innovation by identifying statistical patterns and performance metrics to improve the Quality Control division. You will assist in using data to create, present, and make recommendations for groundbreaking ideas and projects, as well as perform basic analysis to mitigate the risk of resistance through process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform and assist others in the Quality Control team in ideal data collection, validation, and root cause analysis on data components.
- Help with creating and presenting results from complex data and analysis for both technical and non-technical clients and leaders.
- Assist with exploring ad-hoc requests arising from emerging maintenance issues and provide logical answers to enable Senior Leadership to make business decisions while adjusting existing project responsibilities.
- Present insights, patterns, and potential recommendations by using data visualization tools supporting the relevant marks of the investigation to ease partner understanding.
- Help with creating and disseminating specific queries to pull and coordinate data from various sources, establishing the rhythm, and approving the need of the data requirements.
- Identify irregularities in processes through reviews/audits and convey findings to the team.
- Assess the effectiveness of processes and methods by observing for patterns and errors
- Ensure that a compliance mindset is at the forefront of every decision
- May perform other work responsibilities as directed by Group Leader.
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, or Computer Science)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze large datasets with care and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively listen, understand, and convey ideas and present written, verbal, or presentation-based to discussions of varying audiences.
- Ability to evaluate business issues, identify valuable opportunities for data needs, and interpret resulting metrics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong understanding of data visualization tools and capabilities, such as Tableau, Alteryx, and QuickBase (desired).
- Ability to grasp the issue, summarize, and perform root cause analysis on data, and provide recommendations using logic and reasoning.
- Willingness to use PowerPoint to build presentations for verbal communications (desired).
- Past internship, capstone projects, and research coursework (desired).
- Ability to work independently in a team-oriented, help/group-based environment.
- Ability to focus on responsibilities diligently and be a self-motivated individual.
- Past internship experience in a related field (desired).
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential data appropriately.
- Ability to plan and support large business initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with data visualization tools and capabilities, such as Tableau, Alteryx, and QuickBase.
- Familiarity with programming languages, such as Python, R, or SQL.
- Experience with data mining and machine learning techniques.
- Strong understanding of data governance and compliance principles.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
