Key Responsibilities
As a Home-Based Senior Collections Specialist, you will:
- Interact with customers and negotiate bill arrangements for both inbound and outbound collections
- Provide a personalized arenaflex interaction with credit account holders by treating them with respect and appreciation, showing courtesy and friendliness, identifying diverse account holder segments, and offering suitable possible solutions
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills through probing or making recommendations for handling of exceptional account situations (e.g., bankruptcy, CCC, deceased, legal, fraud, billing disputes, etc.)
- Work in a multi-media environment (emails, telephone calls, chat messages, and letters) that's fast-paced and requires prioritization of work

About You
* High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- 1-2 years of previous customer experience or customer service experience
- Ability to engage with customers, team members, and internal business partners with a professional, friendly, empathetic style, and de-escalate as needed
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including listening, negotiating, and decision-making skills. Experience managing escalated customer complaints
- Ability to apply diverse data reasserts to respond to questions, identify issues, and accurately resolve customer problems
- Strong technical skills, ability to work within multiple systems, and high skillability with PC/Microsoft applications
- Access to a home workspace that is free from noise distractions to perform the role
- Hardwired internet at your home location (Hardwired: using an Ethernet cable to directly connect the Target-issued laptop to the modem or router)
- Meet the minimum bandwidth requirement of 40mbps download/5mbps upload
- Ability to interact through a Target-issued internet digital camera for required meetings, training, and/or interactions
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 25 pounds of equipment
Additional Home-Based Requirements
* From time to time, and upon request, you will be required to complete an online speed test and email a photograph of your speed test result to your supervisor.
- You may be required to deactivate Wi-Fi functionality while using Target systems during work hours.
- You may be required to store emergency and work telephone numbers (excluding online resources) and other required notices in a conspicuous spot in your home workspace.
- If there are prolonged disruptions in your electricity or internet service, you will be required to follow specific Target procedures, which may include taking unpaid days off if applicable.
- You will take reasonable care to prevent unauthorized disclosure of or access to Target assets or data by others in the home worksite.
- You must log out or lock your Target-issued laptop when you are away from your workspace.
- Target-issued systems can only be used for Target business functions, and printing and/or storing proprietary data is not allowed.
- You must maintain your workspace free from any personal mobile phones, tablets, or other such devices (especially video and audio recording devices).
- You must maintain Target's dress code expectations while working from home.
- You must use the surge protector to ensure your Target-issued system is properly supplied.
- You will not be reimbursed for any home office costs, including internet, office supplies, or table furniture.
- You are expected to follow Target's "Ergonomics in the Workplace" guide when setting up your workspace and to ensure a safe work environment.
- You must have a working smoke detector in or near the workspace.
- You must have a first aid kit available near the workspace.
- You may be expected to install all issued Target systems in your home workspace.
- You may be expected to disassemble and return to all Target-issued systems as directed by your supervisor upon request and/or upon the completion of your role.
