Key Responsibilities

As an Experienced Customer Service Agent - Airport Operations, you'll be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of cargo and baggage. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Safely lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft, in addition to guiding incoming and departing aircraft from the gate positions.
  • Safeguarding cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather.
  • Safely driving and operating ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in areas of congestion.
  • Operating baggage scanners and computers to ensure baggage is routed accurately to the customer's destination.
  • Collaborating with other team members to ensure seamless operations and exceptional customer experiences.
  • Participating in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Work Environment and Schedule

As an Experienced Customer Service Agent - Airport Operations, you'll work in a fast-paced environment with a dynamic team of professionals. Your schedule will be based on operational needs, with shifts ranging from early morning to overnight. You'll work between 20 and 40 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime and career advancement.

What You Need to Succeed

To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications:

  • Consistently prioritize safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
  • Embrace diverse people, thinking, and styles.
  • Possess a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Be at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in the United States.
  • Have a valid driver's license.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Pass a physical ability test (PAT). You can prepare for the PAT by watching this video.
  • Must wear required company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to include, but not limited to: hearing protection, safety-toe footwear, protective headwear (bump cap or hard hat), and high visibility safety apparel subject to an approved accommodation, such as alternate PPE.
  • Ability to hold airport-specific requirements such as a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal.

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge

While not required, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge in this role:

  • Previous experience in customer service or a related field.
  • Knowledge of airport operations and procedures.
  • Certification in a related field, such as safety or security.
