About the Role:
We're seeking experienced full stack distributed systems engineers to help develop and enhance our infrastructure as we pursue our ambitious goal of 500 million members worldwide. Focus in Data Platform Teams:
Our data platform teams are at the forefront of innovation, driving the development of cutting-edge data platforms and tools. We're passionate about distributed systems, and our teams are actively involved in the open-source community, contributing to and leveraging open-source technologies to drive innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and deploy scalable, fault-tolerant, and highly available distributed systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and technical program managers, to drive business outcomes
- Contribute to the development of open-source technologies and contribute to arenaflex's OSS efforts
- Participate in code reviews, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to arenaflex's coding standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, working closely with the team to identify and implement solutions
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement
Essential Qualifications:
* 2+ years of experience in building large-scale distributed systems features or applications
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, including design patterns, scalability, and fault tolerance
- Proficiency in Java or other object-oriented programming languages
- Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS or GCP
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with big data technologies, such as Hadoop, Spark, or NoSQL databases
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, such as CI/CD pipelines and monitoring systems
- Experience with cloud-native applications and serverless computing
- Strong understanding of security principles and practices, with the ability to design and implement secure systems
