Job Summary

As a Patient Care Advocate, you'll be the first point of contact for our members, providers, physicians, and internal and external clients. You'll handle customer service inquiries, research and resolve problems in a timely manner, and provide education and support to help our members maximize their pharmacy benefits. Key Responsibilities

* Handle inbound and outbound calls from members, providers, physicians, and internal and external clients related to pharmacy benefits

  • Answer questions and provide education on pharmacy benefits, while maintaining productivity standards and performance guarantees
  • Work with other operational departments to research and resolve mail order and claims issues, and respond to members within performance agreement guidelines
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all inquiries to continuously improve the customer service process and reduce potential legal concerns
  • Identify and escalate concerns received from patients and/or clients in a prudent manner, ensuring corrective action is pursued and expedited to meet their needs
  • Adhere to quality and production standards, while complying with all applicable company, state, and federal safety regulations
  • Perform other duties as needed to support the team and achieve business objectives

Essential Qualifications

* 1 year of experience in a call center environment (preferred)

  • 1 year of experience in customer service (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity standards
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Proficiency in computerized systems and software applications
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in a healthcare or insurance environment

  • Knowledge of pharmacy benefits and regulations
  • Certification in customer service or a related field
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
