Electrical Engineering
Electrical Engineering Expert (AI Training) About The Role We're partnering with the world's leading AI research labs to build smarter, more technically rigorous AI systems — and we need electrical engineers to help get us there. As an Electrical Engineering AI Trainer, your deep domain expertise becomes the benchmark that cutting-edge language models are measured against. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role where your knowledge directly shapes how AI understands and reasons through complex engineering problems.
- Organization: Alignerr
- Type: Hourly Contract
- Location: Remote
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
- Design Challenging Problems — Craft advanced electrical engineering problems across domains such as circuit analysis, power systems, signal processing, electromagnetics, control systems, and embedded systems to stress-test AI performance
- Author Gold-Standard Solutions — Write rigorous, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as ground-truth benchmarks for AI learning and evaluation
- Audit AI Outputs — Evaluate AI-generated responses, circuit diagrams, mathematical proofs, and code for technical accuracy, logical soundness, and adherence to engineering standards (e.g., IEEE, NEC)
- Sharpen AI Reasoning — Identify flaws in AI reasoning chains and deliver structured feedback that helps models think more like expert engineers
Who You Are
- Pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field
- Strong foundational expertise in one or more core domains: VLSI, control systems, telecommunications, power electronics, signal processing, or similar
- Able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and precisely in writing
- Highly detail-oriented when reviewing equations, circuit logic, and technical documentation
- Self-directed and comfortable working independently on a flexible schedule
- No prior AI experience required
Nice to Have
- Experience with data annotation, technical writing, or quality evaluation workflows
- Familiarity with simulation tools (MATLAB, SPICE, etc.)
- Background spanning multiple EE subfields
