Job Description:

As a Lead Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will be responsible for: ### Key Responsibilities:

Data Solution Development:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement data solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients, sponsors, and content partners.

Data Warehousing and ETL Pipelines:

Plan and develop versatile data warehousing solutions, building ETL pipelines in Big Data environments (cloud, on-prem, hybrid).

Technical Leadership:

Help engineer data solutions/structures and define data models for the core data warehouse and data shops.

Documentation and Quality Assurance:

Maintain detailed documentation of your work and changes to ensure data quality and data governance.

Scrum and Agile Practices:

Participate in scrum and agile practices to ensure team well-being and cycle enhancements. ### Key Capabilities:

SQL and Data Analysis:

Strong SQL skills and ability to write queries to extract insights and build performant datasets.

Distributed Systems:

Experience with distributed systems like Hadoop (HDFS, Hive, Voila, PySpark) to query and process data.

Programming Languages:

Strong programming skills in Python, Java/Scala.

Cloud and MPP Technologies:

Experience with at least one major MPP or cloud database technology (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).

Data Integration and Pipelines:

Strong experience with data integration toolsets (e.g., Apache NiFi) and writing and maintaining data pipelines.

Data Modeling and Warehousing:

Strong understanding of data modeling strategies and data warehousing standard practices.

Agile and Scrum:

Familiarity with scrum and agile approaches. ### Ideal Candidate:
