As a Fleet Material Handling Technician at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet of vehicles and equipment. You'll be responsible for performing essential analytical and repair work, including routine maintenance, oil and filter changes, and basic repairs to a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, vans, forklifts, and material handling equipment. Key Responsibilities
As a Fleet Material Handling Technician at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:
- Analyzing vehicle and equipment failures and performing repairs and maintenance as needed
- Completing oil and filter changes
- Taking guidance from senior experts and managers
- Using PC-based diagnostics to interact with modern truck interfaces
- Performing routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment
- Answering roadside calls and providing assistance as needed
- Maintaining accurate records of vehicle and equipment maintenance and repairs
- Keeping up-to-date with industry developments and best practices
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A valid driver's license
- The ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- The ability to reach, lift, carry, and move equipment and supplies
- Strong communication skills in English
- Previous experience working under limited supervision (performing work independently, working from a distance from direct manager)
- Previous experience working outside (making on-site decisions, answering breakdowns, working in outdoor parking garages)
- Previous experience working in shift work (being available to come in at short notice, every-day availability, second/third shift work, flexible weeks of work)
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:
- Previous experience working with shop equipment (motor cranes, welding, replacing tires, small tools)
- Essential understanding of safety maintenance programs
- Working knowledge of hydraulic and air-powered brake systems
- Essential PC skills
- Previous experience in preventative maintenance projects and activities (following schedules for oil changes, documentation of work completed, following miles and usage hours, identifying and fixing defects)
- Working knowledge of water-powered and compressed air brake systems
- Knowledge of internal combustion engines
- Formal training in a technical industry (e.g., certification program, military training, technical/junior college)

Compensation and Benefits
