Job Summary
The Junior Geographic Information Systems Analyst will be responsible for creating geographic data for assigned areas, designing PC-generated maps and reports, and providing administrative support to local Deal Makers. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in the Business Land industry and work with a talented team of professionals.
Key Responsibilities and Obligations
* Work directly with territorial Deal Makers, agents of Costco, and other vendors to create PC-generated maps, reports, tables, and charts for assigned areas using MapInfo as specified by local Deal Makers.
- Process requests and inquiries directly from Costco Activities for market strategy guides and presentation materials.
- Perform a variety of project-specific tasks, including research and analysis of data as assigned.
- Provide administrative support to local Deal Makers by preparing accurate and timely cost reports, editing documents, booking travel, preparing visit books, and meeting other administrative needs as specified.
- Perform general office duties, including answering incoming calls, receiving office visitors, mail handling and planning, ensuring all office equipment is functioning properly, ensuring PCs are working accurately, recording, booking deliveries, and requesting office supplies.
Required Skills and Competencies
* General knowledge of geographic data systems.
- Knowledge of data analysis and insights presentation.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills and Competencies
* Proficiency in MapInfo.
Education and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in GIS or two years of relevant work experience in geographic data systems.
