Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Insurance Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a critical member of our client services team, you'll be responsible for managing client communications, nurturing relationships, and ensuring seamless policy administration. Responsibilities
As an Insurance Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:
- Client Communication and Relationship Management: Support clients in reporting claims, gathering documentation, and communicating with adjusters to process claims.
- Policy Administration: Record policy updates and changes on customer accounts, tracking them in our secured system and communicating with clients to explain any updates to their coverage.
- Renewal Process and Policy Updates: Assist with the renewal process and provide competitive quotes to clients.
- Coverage and Billing Inquiries: Provide clear answers to clients on coverage and billing questions, including information on rate fluctuations or policy changes.
- Industry Knowledge and Updates: Stay up-to-date with industry standards, current rates, coverages, insurance products, insurance policies, and carriers by regularly speaking with our industry partners.
- Client Coverage Needs Review: Review current clients' coverage needs to determine if updates or changes are warranted.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Process and document calls, emails, and policy updates in our secured system.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Active Insurance License: Must have an active insurance license in Minnesota or be willing to obtain one within 30 days.
- Strong Communication and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and follow-up skills are essential.
- Basic Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) is required.
- Insurance Experience: While insurance experience as an agent or in a similar position is preferred, we'll provide training as needed for the right fit and skillset.
