The Role
We're seeking a dedicated, reliable, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative. As a key member of our customer support team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of support and service.
Key Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for:
- Delivering exceptional customer support by answering calls and responding to queries in a timely and professional manner
- Assisting customers with medical insurance questions, ensuring each interaction is handled with respect, patience, and empathy
- Accurately documenting call content in real-time to ensure seamless communication and knowledge sharing
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to resolve customer issues and concerns
- Providing proactive support to customers, anticipating and addressing their needs
- Staying up-to-date with product knowledge and industry developments to provide informed and accurate responses
Schedule
As a Customer Service Representative, you will work a flexible schedule that includes:
- Work Hours: Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
- Training: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5 PM (approximately the first 2 weeks)
- Rotating holidays as needed
Compensation and Benefits
As a valued member of our team, you will enjoy a competitive compensation package that includes:
- Pay: $16.20/hr
- Benefits: Health Insurance, 401K, PTO available
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Be a resident of New York State
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Have a strong customer service background, preferably in the healthcare industry
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office and have experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Experience working in a call center or customer-facing role
- Knowledge of medical insurance and healthcare industry trends
- Certification in customer service or a related field
- Experience with data entry and documentation
