Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Senior Supervisor to manage both internal and third-party co-productions across our original movies. This individual should have a strong background in the VFX industry, with a proven track record of overseeing multiple projects simultaneously. The successful candidate will be responsible for curating vendor and VFX crew members, evaluating and budgeting scripts, and creatively investigating and commenting on work. This is a fast-paced and dynamic position that requires someone who is proactive, a high-quality thinker, and able to exercise excellent judgment and initiative.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee all aspects of the VFX process on a slate of movie projects as assigned by the Director, VFX
- Collaborate with production groups, Studio innovative Executives, and Finance during development and pre-production
- Study scripts, develop VFX breakdowns & budgets, and manufacturing/post-production planning
- Provide insights and remarks on VFX's scope of work and feasibility
- Constructing the visual effects teams, recruiting Supervisors, manufacturers, carriers, and negotiating with vendors
- Overseeing agreement negotiations and liaising with legal to ensure thresholds for costs and organization regulations
- Handling VFX delivery progress and value file tracking, dealing with and guiding VFX manufacturers to assume and troubleshoot schedule and budget issues
- Ensuring manufacturing is running smoothly, meeting deadlines, and staying on budget
- Supporting broadening and maintaining constant reporting on budget, schedule, and VFX development
- Running with the VFX manager and VFX producer to check VFX media as a means of ensuring the highest quality work
- Gaining knowledge of and networking with new groups and up-and-comers, monitoring skills availability
- Technical knowledge of the visual outcomes procedure, including 4K pipelines and rising technologies for improving workflows
- Knowledge of tax incentives and rebates
- Assisting in crafting, implementing, and executing strategic tasks and branch workflows in alignment with the Director, VFX
- A love for the creative process!
Qualifications
* 2+ years of experience in overseeing multiple projects simultaneously in managerial roles, including VFX producer, post manufacturer, VFX executive producer, VFX supervisor, etc.
- An enthusiasm for visual effects and the era and artistry that makes it feasible
- Enjoy collecting and negotiating vendor bids, and budgeting for visual effects
- International relations and discretion in handling sensitive issues and exclusive subjects
- Super government conversation and mastery of the ability to lead without authority
- Understanding of modern trends for VFX manufacturing workflows
- Team player who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Preference and self-motivation to continuously analyze
- Strong written and verbal communication capabilities and the ability to multi-assign
- Music report on fostering, constructing, and retaining relationships with filmmakers, VFX supervisors, VFX manufacturers, and key vendors
