Language Specialist - Hawaiian | $95/hr Remote
Position: Hawaiian Language Expert Type: Hourly contract Compensation: $40 - $95/hour Location: Remote Commitment: 10 40 hours/week Role Responsibilities
- Translate, review, and edit content between Hawaiian and English with high accuracy.
- Evaluate AI-generated text for linguistic quality and cultural relevance.
- Provide detailed feedback and annotations to improve language model performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance natural language processing outputs.
- Maintain and update linguistic resources and standardized terminology.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on written and verbal materials.
- Support development of guidelines for language data curation and translation.
Requirements
- Native or near-native proficiency in Hawaiian with strong English communication skills.
- Strong experience in translation, localization, and editing.
- Deep understanding of Hawaiian grammar, syntax, and cultural context.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to linguistic accuracy.
- Familiarity with digital tools for translation and annotation.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to meet deadlines.
