Job Summary

As a Remote Healthcare Billing and Customer Service Representative, you'll work as an extended business office representative on behalf of our clients, providing exceptional customer service and support to patients and their families. You'll work from the comfort of your own home, with the option to attend in-office orientation and training sessions in our Denver/Aurora office. This is a full-time position with a 40-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm MST.

Key Responsibilities:

* Using empathy and excellent communication skills to help patients and their families understand complex medical bills and resolve account balances.

  • Providing outstanding customer service and collaborating with patients to create affordable payment plans and take payments by phone.
  • Accurately documenting all calls and follow-ups in our software systems, utilizing your computer proficiency, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Supporting your fellow team members with consistent attendance, excellent work ethic, and a caring team focus.
  • Continuously improving your skills and knowledge, with supportive coaching and feedback from your manager and team leads, as well as ongoing training and development opportunities.

Essential Qualifications:

* 1-2 years of experience in customer service, healthcare billing, or a related field.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with patients and families from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong computer proficiency, with experience using software systems and applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on collaboration and customer satisfaction.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working in a healthcare or customer service environment.

  • Familiarity with medical billing and coding principles.
  • Certification in customer service or a related field.
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits:

* Competitive base annual pay ranging from $37,440 to $43,680, based on prior experience.

  • Monthly performance bonuses ranging from $100 to $400.
