Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team in Florida. As a Pharmacy Service Representative, you'll provide telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy. You'll be responsible for the overall coordination and processing of new patient medication orders and reorders, which includes verifying and reverifying benefits. You'll also help our patients with translating and entering in new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system, communicating and collecting copay amounts, obtaining authorizations, and working with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and/or internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders that have accounts receivable or clinical issues.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy
- Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, including verifying and reverifying benefits
- Translate and enter new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system
- Communicate and collect copay amounts from patients
- Obtain authorizations from insurance companies and healthcare providers
- Work with internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues
- Demonstrate superb communication skills to effectively interact with insurance companies, patients, and internal partners
- Ensure the processing of specialty medications in a timely manner and meet financial and clinical expectations prior to fulfillment
Essential Qualifications
* One year of experience in a customer service role handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone
- One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications
- One year of computer keyboarding experience, skills, and aptitude
- Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent

* Pre-existing healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate compassionate, genuine care for patients and customers
