Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Database Analyst to join our team of data-driven professionals. As a key member of our data insights and analytics team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining databases to support business intelligence and data analytics initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements, design and implement database solutions, and ensure data quality and integrity.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain databases to support business intelligence and data analytics initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and design database solutions
- Develop and implement database queries, reports, and dashboards to support business decision-making
- Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing data validation, data cleansing, and data governance processes
- Perform database performance tuning and optimization to ensure optimal database performance
- Develop and maintain database documentation, including data dictionaries and database schema
- Participate in data governance initiatives to ensure data quality and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in database management and data analytics
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in database administration, data analysis, or related field
- Strong knowledge of database management systems, including design, development, and maintenance
- Experience with SQL, database modeling, and data warehousing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze complex data sets and identify trends and insights
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Experience with data governance, data quality, and data security
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with cloud-based database platforms, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure
- Experience with data visualization tools, including Tableau or Power BI
- Experience with scripting languages, including Python or PowerShell
- Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence tools, including SQL Server or Oracle
- Certification in database administration, data analysis, or related field
