Key Responsibilities

As an Experienced Intermodal Customer Support Specialist III, you'll be responsible for:

  • Verifying order readiness for shipments and changing appointments when necessary
  • Prioritizing loads by time schedule and customer priority to minimize deadhead
  • Scheduling using various customer applications
  • Confirming shipment delivery via carrier websites, phone, email, and other channels
  • Creating shipments when necessary based on customer and carrier business rules
  • Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with carriers contracted to the dedicated fleet and other carriers operating in your geographical region
  • Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with shippers and receivers through professional and timely communications and inquiry responses
  • Corresponding with Operations, customers, and carriers regarding rating and accessorial information as set per customer business rules
  • Leading training sessions for Carrier Contacts as necessary on Carrier Portal
  • Setting up new customer and vendor users and locations in the TMS, leveraging knowledge of customer business practices
  • Utilizing JIRA to file tickets of identified issues surrounding invoice resolution
  • Reporting on long-term KPIs by account as determined by management
  • Identifying patterns with shipper, receiver, and carrier performance and recommending actions for improvement

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • 2-3 years of Customer Service and/or Transportation experience

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Transportation Logistics or Supply Chain Management

  • 2-4 years of Customer Service experience within the Transportation or Logistics Industry
  • Working knowledge and utilization of the arenaflex TMS (Transportation Management System)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Basic math skills
