About the Ring Data Warehouse Team
The Ring Data Warehouse team is responsible for managing the integrated data repository for Ring, a leading provider of smart home security solutions. We collect and distribute data from various internal and external sources, which are used by different partners, including Ring Item design, Finance, Inventory network, Advertising, Customer service, and Sales data. Our team is dedicated to providing high-quality data to support business decision-making and drive growth.
Job Description
We're seeking an Experienced Full Stack Data Engineer to join our Ring Data Warehouse team, working remotely from the USA. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining effective, adaptable, and secure data pipelines to support our business partners. You'll work closely with our programming development team, researchers, and business partners across different verticals to deliver high-quality data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop new data ingestions using a combination of Local AWS services and Amazon internal tools and technologies.
- Maintain and improve existing data ingestions to ensure they meet evolving business requirements and corporate standards.
- Build and improve structures or tools for internal team and external partner use to manage data.
- Perform code audits and ensure best practices are followed for ETL and data cleanliness by colleagues and supporting teams.
- Collaborate with business partners to understand their requirements and work closely with them to ensure data being ingested addresses their business needs and is well-presented and coordinated to facilitate adaptable use and good data cleanliness.
A Day in the Life
As a Full Stack Data Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from designing and developing new data pipelines to maintaining and improving existing ones. You'll collaborate with our team to understand business requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs. Your day will be filled with:
- Gathering and examining requirements from business partners across verticals like Memberships, Deals, Invert Strategies, Finance, Item, and more.
- Constructing new data ingestions using a mix of Local AWS services and Amazon internal tools.
- Maintaining and improving existing data ingestions to ensure they meet evolving business requirements and corporate standards.
- Building and improving structures or tools for internal team and external partner use to manage data.
- Performing code audits and ensuring best practices are followed for ETL and data cleanliness by colleagues and supporting teams.

Essential Capabilities
* 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on data design, development, and maintenance.
- Experience with data warehousing, ETL pipelines, and data visualization tools.
- Strong understanding of SQL and data modeling concepts.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS Redshift, S3, and EMR.
Preferred Capabilities
* Experience with modern programming languages, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS.
- Experience with non-relational databases, such as object stores, record or key-value stores, graph databases, or column-family databases.
- Familiarity with data security and compliance regulations, such as GDPR and HIPAA.

Compensation and Benefits
arenaflex offers a comprehensive compensation package that includes a competitive salary, benefits, and perks. Our salary range for this position is $105,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $205,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on various factors, including market area and may vary depending on work-related information, skills, and experience. arenaflex is a complete pay organization, offering a full range of clinical, financial, and other benefits.
