Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Operator at arenaflex, you will be responsible for the following key tasks:

  • Data Entry and Management: Transfer data from paper formats to computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners. Enter data provided directly by clients, and create spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without errors.
  • Data Verification and Validation: Verify data against source documents to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Data Updates and Retrieval: Update existing data and retrieve data from database or electronic files as requested.
  • Data Preservation and Backup: Perform periodic backups to ensure data preservation and prevent loss.
  • Documentation Organization: Sort and organize documentation after data entry to ensure data is not lost.

Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Proven Experience: Proven experience as a data entry clerk, with a strong understanding of data confidentiality principles.
  • Fast Typing Skills: Fast typing skills, with knowledge of touch typing system strongly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Excellent knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet tools (MS Office, Word, Excel, etc.), as well as working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices.
  • Database Knowledge: Basic knowledge of databases, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems.
  • Communication Skills: Good command of English, both oral and written, and customer service skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify and correct errors.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
