Responsibilities

  • Transfer data from paper formats into digital files or database systems with high accuracy and speed
  • Type in data provided directly from customers with minimal errors
  • Create complex spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes, utilizing advanced data processing techniques
  • Verify data by comparing it to source documents, ensuring accuracy and integrity
  • Update existing data in a timely and efficient manner
  • Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested, utilizing advanced search techniques
  • Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation and security
  • Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost or misplaced

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Proven experience as a data entry clerk or similar position is a plus
  • Fast typing skills; knowledge of touch typing systems is strongly preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware
  • Basic understanding of databases
  • Good command of English, both oral and written
  • Great attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
